From the Washington Free Beacon Staff:
Senator Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) announced Tuesday morning before the Senate that [he]and Senator Rand Paul (R., Ky.) would like to attach a right-to-work amendment to ENDA [Employment Non Discrimination Act].
McConnell applauded Michigan Governor Rick Snyder’s efforts, reminding the Senate that almost a year ago, Snyder signed historic right-to-work legislation into law. McConnell explained that the labor force has neglected workers’ rights and instead chosen to place a premium on “its own perfection and power.”
He summed up his proposed amendment, saying “If you want to join a union, you request. If you don’t want to join a union, you don’t have to and described the amendment as “basic fairness.”
